“13 Reasons Why” You Should Focus on Yourself Instead

We live in a world highly saturated with selfish people, people who only need you in their lives because you are beneficial to them. Let us stop trying to change people or forcing them to care, rather focus on your own health, heart and mind. Some people will only ever holla at you when all they need is your help meanwhile they couldn’t avail themselves when you needed their help.

How can you possibly expect anyone to support you if you don’t believe in your own craft? Forget the people and focus on why you started and where you are planning on going. Keep cheering yourself on and the rest of the world will gradually climb abroad when they see how much it matters to you. Social media will hold you back if you are constantly trying to keep up with what’s hip and happening. How will you ever figure out what you like and vibe with if you are a follower of all things?

Always remember how important it is for you to love yourself hence you are more aware of your wants and needs. If you choose to love yourself and focus on yourself, you will realize that everything falls into place – you will eventually stop chasing people, helping those who don’t even want to help themselves and your growth will happen much quicker. Forget everything else because it will only exhaust your soul and just focus on yourself.

  1. Isn’t this the truth about living in a world with selfish people and its something we’re working on changing in ourselves. We loved your 13 reasons and the need to focus on self. Change begins with us and we need to stop blaming everyone else for our own situations.

  3. Is it bad that I loved number thirteen more than all the others? 🙂
It hit my funny bone just right! 😀
Lovely list. Most of them are good for anyone and some of them address something you were going through (the ones about Social Media, right?) But I agree with all of them, though.

  4. Firing my psychiatrist was a hard task. I was his patient for 26 years. But he started taking a big dump on me every time I saw him. Thanks so much for the like. And I agree that self-interest is prudent. There’s a difference between selfishness and prudence. My family has always messed this up. My grandmother looked at me in my infancy and branded me with “selfishness.” She was a hypocrite. Mimi was stupid. It wasn’t my fault. God that makes me mad. Hope you have a good night. Sweet dreams.

  5. Very inspiring quote pretty much sums up society and their cruel exceptions. This post motivates people to love themselves and appreciate how they came to this earth to be. You’ve only got one life and make the best outta of it. Always remember that or every dark day theres light guiding you to positivity and a good life. This is an important blog that I feel will help many people struggling with their lives and themselves and will make them value their self worth and to have reasons to live their lives as themselves.
