No One is Getting Out of Here Alive

July 19, 2017 in Articles, Motivational - 3 min read

In this thing called life, you could never be too sure. You could be the healthiest person on earth but you are still not guaranteed a tomorrow. Truth is, we simply cannot avoid or run away from death, we cannot run away from something we cannot see. So, the solution is to live your life the exact way you want to.

Be kind to yourself always, no need to beat yourself up for your failures, no need to neglect yourself. If you aren’t kind to yourself how can you possibly expect others to be kind to you? Be kind to everyone around you too because you have no idea what every stranger is secretly going through.

Whatever you do, make sure it is something you love. You got to make your happiness a priority at all times. Take risks, try out new things. Dye your hair purple, dye your hair green, learn how to do a backflip, learn how to cook your favourite meal. Just do you.

Be with who you could spend the rest of your life with. Confess your feelings to the right people. If you are not done catching feelings for your previous partner, be brave and tell them – what’s the point of keeping it to yourself then having albums of depressing love quotes on your phone? Get out of your misery and express yourself. You are human, you were made to feel stuff.

Make peace with people who have done you wrong, it will help you sleep at night. Don’t dwell on situations you cannot change and do not blame yourself for every little thing.

Let’s just focus on the positive things in life. Sure, hard times and challenges are things that are always lurking around, ready to attack us during our happiest moments but we have to just brush them off as they come. Let us focus on the things that matter – family, nature, our health and creating our own kind of happiness. Let’s focus on the people who cheer us on and love seeing us flourish.

Let’s be silly too. Feel like dancing in public? Don’t even hold back, those that will stare would be merely wishing they had the courage to do such. If you have your headsets on while you are waiting in the queue and your favourite rap verse is coming up, spit them bars!

We could choose to live our lives miserable and choose to keep up with what people are doing with their lives or we could choose to just focus on self-improvement. Wake up each and every day with something to look forward to. Nobody is going to get out of here alive anyway so you might as well do what would please your soul.

Loved the post! We’re human – yes, we’re made to feel, make mistakes, be messy, be real… we shouldn’t try so hard to have it all together and shouldn’t be so hard on ourselves… Be silly, be human <3

You are one of the most motivating bloggers! I love your posts because they are so relatable, interesting and inspiring.
We do have to cease the moment and just be ourselves. Not worrying what every other person could potentially be thinking. x

Thank you so so much Lauzie 💖. I’ve struggled almost all my life with doing whatever i want to do because I would always stop myself and ask, “But what are people going to say and think about me?”. I’ve grown out of that though and thank you for stopping by 😊
