A forecast of 74˚ degree was all it took for me to spontaneously take a half-day at work just to drive around with the top down for the last time this year.
To be honest, I am really proud of myself for not planning ahead as much when it comes to quite literally everything in my life — I just do it and it always turns out to be so much fun.
I initially wanted to go back to Shenandoah National Park for a scenic route on Skyline Drive, but I was just there 2 weeks ago, so I wasn’t eager to pay another $30 for that.
So, I randomly stumbled upon Shenandoah River State Park, had fun driving on the empty, windy road, hopped on a trail, stopped for cows as always and came right back home…
