Top 5 Things You Should Never Fear

Fearing is a normal thing, right? I mean, how can we not when there are creeps like spiders, moths, lizards and snakes? It’s not just that though, there are also some weird phobias out there too like omphalophobia (the fear of bellybuttons), aerophobia (fear of fresh air) and guess what, there’s also venustraphobia, which is the fear of beautiful women! Whaaaaaat?

Yeah, well we are all weird in our own different ways anyway but here are 5 things you should never ever have to fear…

CHANGE

Change is good for you! Really! Change comes with all sorts of experiences, lessons and sometimes you start seeing things from a different perspective. Whether it is change in environment or change in the way you think, it’s good for you hence embrace it. Staying in your comfort-zone can legit hold you back from living your life to its full potential, go out there and do something new for a change, ditch your daily routine and keep an open mind at all times.

MOVING ON

Got your heart broken? Honey, it’s okay, it might feel like the world is about to end but wooaah remember that there are billions of people in the world and we are not all just going to vanish into thin air because your relationship has ended. Nope, it’s not the end of the world, it’s just a minor turbulence. The rest of us still exist and there are people who you haven’t met yet who are lowkey dying to meet someone like you. Fill your heart with endless love and if you find someone who doesn’t appreciate it, move on with your bottomless saucy love.

DISAPPOINTMENT

Breaking news: We cannot stop people we love and care about from disappointing us! Our friends disappoint us, our parents, kids, partners and life (and sometimes our own brains when an exam paper is laid in front of us). How wild is that?! You can’t control who gets to disappoint you, when, why and how but do you know what you can do? You can lower your expectations and keep in mind that we are all human, we make mistakes and we unintentionally hurt people sometimes you know.

SHOOTING YOUR SHOT (+ REJECTION)

So many people live with the fear of approaching a potential bae or a company they wish to work with and getting rejected after all that effort. You keep typing and deleting that text you want to send to your crush and you spend day and night rehearsing in front of the mirror how you are going to present your proposal to that company you have been eyeing. All that work just because you want something so badly and fear getting rejected. Go for it! How do you possibly think you are going to know the answer to something if you don’t ask or speak up? Do your part, shoot your shot and hope to score and don’t blame yourself when you get rejected because you were brave!

FAILURE

Failing is scary AF! It’s totally not something you should be fearing though. Why, you ask? Failing always always always teaches you something, usually when you fail you realise where you went wrong and you can avoid that mistake happening again. Basically, failing makes us geniuses because it comes with good lessons on what works and what doesn’t. So, next time you fail at something you should probably just go celebrate because that can be a good thing if you choose to see it that way.

Alright, that’s a wrap! Stop living in so much fear, there is beauty on the other side of fear. If you are one of those people who fear beautiful women, good luck with that because we are everywhere.

  1. Fantastic post 🙂 I always fear disappointment and moving on- they’re both so difficult. Change often makes me feel such intense fear, but I’m learning to cope. Thank you so much for your brilliant post, I love your blog
