Cabanas Del Mar | Travel

February 20, 2017 in - 2 min read

My 2 siblings and I were born in the same month and to celebrate our birthday our mother booked us a whole weekend at Cabanas Del Mar which is located on the coastline of Amanzimtoti alongside the other Cabanas on the beach.

We arrived at the place at night due to traffic and the first thing my siblings and I did was take a night-time swim in one of the 2 swimming pools. Yes, they had 2 huge swimming pools and a kiddies pool too. The apartment we had was a 6-sleeper apartment with 2 bedrooms – 1 double bed in one and 2 bunk beds in the other and a modern bathroom. We were provided with cutlery and plates, there was a fridge and a microwave too and that was very important to us. One of the coolest things about this place is that at night, you fall asleep to the sound of the waves gently crashing on the shore – aahh bliss!

In the morning we took long strolls along the quite beach which was right outside the Cabanas Del Mar premises. Can you imagine? A small gate that leads right onto the ocean, I mean, what more would you ask for? Since the pools were so addictive, we went for another swim before heading out to Galleria Mall which was like a 10-minute drive away. At the mall, we chose to go karting over ice-skating for some odd reason and then headed back to the peaceful Cabanas Del Mar.

There are ample barbeque areas on the premises, plenty of space for kids to play – there was a jungle gym for the kids and beach sand for them to build castles. You can also come along with your ball and play volleyball there, you literally cannot get bored even if you desperately wanted to. There are also 2 cool covered areas to chill under to have your drinks, eat or relax after a nice swim and cars have covered parking.

This is such a refreshing place, a place where you get to be away from the world and enjoy the peace.

…Then we had to leave and snap back to reality200cr
